From businesses who sign up: your name, business name, contact details, business description, and — once you connect a messaging account — the technical identifiers and access tokens needed to send and receive messages on your behalf. From your customers who message your assistant: the content of their messages and their messaging identifier, processed only to generate replies and route leads to you.
To set up and run your assistant, respond to your customers, route leads to where you ask, provide support, and improve the service. We process this data to deliver the service you have asked us to provide.
When you connect WhatsApp, we access your WhatsApp Business Account through Meta's official APIs using credentials you authorise. We use this access only to operate your assistant. We handle all data received through Meta's platform in line with Meta's Platform Terms and Developer Policies, and we do not sell it or use it for unrelated purposes.
Access tokens and sensitive data are encrypted at rest. Access is restricted to what is needed to run the service. We do not log credentials. We retain data only as long as needed to provide the service or as required by law.
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act and applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data. Contact [PRIVACY EMAIL] and we will respond within a reasonable period. Your customers may direct such requests to you as the business they contacted, and we will assist you in fulfilling them.
We share data only with infrastructure and messaging providers strictly necessary to run the service (for example, our hosting provider and, where applicable, a messaging partner), each bound to protect it. We do not sell personal data.

Haanji provides a managed AI assistant that connects to messaging channels you authorise and responds to your customers based on the configuration you confirm. We set up and host the assistant on your behalf.
You are responsible for the accuracy of the business information you provide, for having the right to connect the messaging accounts you connect, and for using the service in line with applicable laws and the terms of the messaging platforms (including WhatsApp's and Telegram's policies, opt-in rules, and messaging guidelines).
Use of WhatsApp through Haanji is subject to Meta's and WhatsApp's Business policies. You agree not to use the service to send spam, unsolicited messages, or prohibited content. We may suspend an assistant that violates these rules to protect our platform standing.

We work to keep the service running reliably but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We are not liable for downtime caused by messaging platforms or infrastructure providers outside our control.
